Title: Paul’s Code Choices in Acts 21:37–22:29: Macro and Micro Sociolinguistic Approaches to Multilingual Paul
Our first Linguistics Circle meeting is just over a week away! To kick off the new academic year, Iain Sungmin Park, PhD candidate in New Testament, will be presenting a paper entitled “Paul’s Code Choices in Acts 21:37–22:29: Macro and Micro Sociolinguistic Approaches to Multilingual Paul.” This paper explores Paul’s multilingual abilities, and argues that it was possible that Paul spoke Latin in Acts 21-22.
Again, we will be attempting a hybrid meeting, both in person at MDC and online on Zoom.
